12 weeks out! 3 months baby!

Soooooo hello there! Sorry I'm so late with another post! I actually got sick and I've had a head cold for the past three days! Don't worry, my diet is still going strong and I'm still training hard! Here are some updated pictures.

Back Double Bicep

Abs and Thigh

Side Tricep (My favorite pose!)

So I'm 12 weeks out now... that means 3 months more of dieting, training, and discipline! And uh... 3 months to eat my bacon burger with onion rings, sweet potato fries, and a bowl of butter milk sauce! WHO'S WITH ME!?
On a serious note though...

Yesterday morning doing cardio I was thinking about my family. First time in a while. Bodybuilding pretty much consumed my life and my career also helps... but there are moments when the past creeps into my mind like an idea implanted from a dream within a dream.. fuck you inception. It wasn't the typical "my thoughts are making me depressed" but it was more... "If they could see me now"... All that I've done with my life... Making it out of college on my own, fending for my own, buying my own car, having my own apartment, living my life.... on my own. It's a good life, just... lonely. I remember my mom's smile and my dad's laugh whenever I would say something retarded... I remember my brother's defensive nature over me.... Always taking care of me. They were happy memories... the things that I miss the most... the things I know I'll never have again. Maybe one day I'll be able to make new memories with a family of my own... Make my son or daughter laugh... share quiet memories with my future wife... maybe even tell um the story about how their dad used to be a bodybuilding teacher... If you're reading this, please... I beg you. Don't let go of the ones you truly love... if you have parents, don't take them for granted... tell them you love them every single day... because if the day ever comes where you know you've lost it all... you'd wish you had.

peace.

15 weeks out!

Hey guys back again! Sorry to keep you waiting so long for an update! Things have been crazy and I have been all over the place. Now that I got some peace and quiet I thought I'd share with you how things are going!

Currently I'm now sitting at 169 lbs. I've been dieting for 5 weeks now and have only lost 7-8 lbs. BUT... During the past 5 weeks I feel I put on some muscle mass due to two reasons... I feel fuller AND I'm getting stronger. So... I'm hoping this slow progression is due to gaining some muscle. I do feel MUCH leaner but the stomach area is being a bit stubborn! Anyway here's some progress pics.

Please keep in mind that prior to taking these pictures I consumed 1200 calories in carbs in my last 3 meals. That's almost a pound of rice with each meal!

Dorian Yates Side Tricep

Flab (ab) and Thigh!

Front Double Bicep

I call this "Mr. Crabz"

So yeah, sorry I look fat. Usually I take pics in the morning on an empty stomach (the natural look). So if you're thinking I look fat, keep in mind I seriously consumed a butt load of rice! =D

16 weeks out!

Hey guys it's been a while. I made a video of me prepping one of my meals but I don't know how to upload through my mobile phone! >_<

I'll try to just move it to my computer and upload it to youtube or something. Anyway, just updating my blog at 16 weeks out from competition.

A "most muscular" pose

I'm happy with my progress, it's a slow and steady fat loss but I am getting leaner. I'm sure once I get closer my carbs will start to go and I will be doing more and more cardio... So you'll see me tighten up a bit. But thankfully my legs are starting to come in early this year and hopefully I keep my muscle mass... after all, I am still getting stronger which is awesome!

Stay tuned for next time! Gotta cook all my chicken breast and ground beef for this week! see yah!

Chicken Breast and all it's GLORY!

Hey guys it's Friday July 22, 2011. I'm currently cooking Chicken Breast right now and I'd thought I'd share with you how I do it. Chicken Breast is the prime food of most bodybuilders. It's high in protein and it's 99% fat free! Holy Cow! So you must be thinking to yourself... hey wait... what's the down side? Well... It's dry and tasteless (compared to thigh meat). So you may be thinking, "How the hell do you eat it EVERYDAY?" Well, off season you can spice it up a bit, maybe cook it with some extra virgin olive oil, a bit of brown sugar, etc... Here's what my chicken looks like while I'm dieting for competition:

Mmmmmm... Dryness.

As you can see I use Mrs. Dash seasoning. Why Mrs. Dash? For starters if you look at the contents, Ms. Dash has: 0 calories, 0g fat, 0g SODIUM, 0g carbs, 0g protein! Holy SMOKES! It tastes awesome as well! I also use my X-large George Foreman grill because it's quick and easy! Chicken Breast is pretty hard to cook on a pan so I usually stick to my foreman grill or oven.
I thought I'd also share with you some recipes and info about chicken breast:
Chicken Breast is 99% lean and contains 6.5g of protein per oz.
Chicken Breast rarely causes bloating for me, or anyone else that I've talked to
Chicken Breast DOESN'T have to suck.... Here's some recipes you may enjoy:

Oven Baked chicken breast:
Line a baking pan with tin foil and PAM spray it.
In a large ziplock bag throw in:
Extra Virgin Olive oil or Macadamia Oil
Your favorite spices (I use garlic salt and lemon pepper)
Parsley

And shake up. Lay the chicken breast flat on the pan and Bake at a pre-heated 350-400. Poke the chicken to make sure it's done, if the juices come out clear then your chicken is ready!

Mr. Kanamori's sugar free bad boy teriyaki bbq chicken breast

Okay guys, feel extra special because I came up with this bad boy on my own through experimentation.
This recipe contains 0g carbs, 0g protein... therefor this recipe is a 0 calorie guilt free choice!

Marinate Chicken Breast in:

Equal parts: shoyu (KIKOMON da best!), water, and GRANULATED SPLENDA (baking kine)
For instance, 2 cups shoyu, 2 cups water, 2 cups splenda (this splenda is 1 cup to 1 cup sugar)
Add to marinade: Chili powder, minced garlic, ponzu (for a tang), squeezed lime (for extra tang)

I usually grilled this recipe but pan fry works or baking works as well!

ENJOY!

By Request: EATS!

@Kaeo for requesting a sample meal (sorry buddy no video yet)

Pre-Workout Meal
Ground Chicken Breast Meal

This is an example of my pre-workout meal (meal you eat before you work out). I'll eat it about .5 to 1 hours prior to working out. I'm not really worried about my sodium intake for now so I can add anything that DOES NOT contain calories (ie. mustard, shoyu, salt, splenda, etc). It's very important prior to strenuous exercise (especially with heavy weights) to eat carbs with my pre-workout meal. This here is Ground Chicken Breast... Pretty gross raw but doesn't taste half bad. 99% lean meat and quite a bit of protein per ounce. I also put in the Kimchee Base because I used it in cooking the Ground Chicken Breast... This shit is AWESOME. I only put in 1 TBSP of this stuff and it PACKS A PUNCH! Even better there's only 1g of sugar for an entire 2 lbs of ground chicken!
More importantly there's vegetables! I eat a good amount of veges with every solid meal like this. Here's a great article about fat loss and vegetables. Take a read if you're interested!

So dieting as you know can be one of the most challenging things people go through... If you ever watch "Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition" you see that most people fail to diet because they're so used to eating their "comfort" foods. Dieting is purely a LIFE STYLE change. Trust me guys, it would be a lot harder for me to continue dieting if I went out every weekend to clubs and dinners!

If you have any questions feel free to ask away!
